Life Nuggets

My advice to up and coming young man is to look for somebody to serve.

Serve, serve, serve.

Find a way to serve.

Service will do for you, what you can't do for yourself.

It'll open doors you can't open for yourself.

That job you have now... use it to serve your employer.

Become irreplaceable.

Don't be someone that can easily be thrown out of a system.

Become too valuable that if a company should sack you. For the next one year they should still miss you. And even come and beg you to reinstate you into the system.

Serve with your skills for those of you who are not employed.

Its not everytime you collect money for any small thing you do.

Serve.

It just takes you being good at what you do and having results, and you will enter the room that people think is difficult for you to enter.

Be diligence to your craft and commitment.

I believe some young professionals would have been advised to stick to their professionalism, that all these "street people" can't help them.

Remember that "don't be unequally yoked" is preached only to the poor.

The people at the top will tell you to just be professional, forget the street guys and all that, they make you h@te the street guys.

But then, behind the door, they bring the street guys and pour sp!t on your face.

Let me not make this long.

Just have RESULTS. It doesn't matter what area, just have results.

You are only considered stup!d and unintelligent when you don't have results.

The doors are closed for you because you are yet to have results.....

Life is a game, play it.

Las las, we all go dey alright.

You won't be in your twenties forever
You won't be in your thirties forever

A time will come when you can no longer take certain risks.

Youth is a vapour
Use your time wisely.

Thinking is not a gift of nature. It is a learned art. Many people are incapable of thinking.

I was in a meeting sometime ago, a conference to be exact and it was such an illuminating conference. Just left many other in the audience, I left with loads of notes and plenty of reflection.

Few days after, clips from that meeting hit social media.

First, it was given a new coloration, then narrated deliberately out of context and social media went in flames. There was all kinds of dragging.

If I was not in that meeting, it would have been a different matter.

I am sure, that this has happened to you too at some point in your life but how it is that you jump on every tiny misrepresented clip to drag ever other person beats me.

It shows that you are not thinking, or maybe, just incapable of thinking.

In my opinion, our experiences should enable us to build wisdom but the reverse is the case many times on the Internet.

Cheers to those who can think.

The ability to withhold judgement today is very challenging for many.

Two men stand at the same bus stop. The bus is forty minutes late.

The first man hisses, checks his watch and mutters that nothing ever works
.
The second shrugs, buys groundnuts from the woman by the roadside and starts talking to the man beside him. By the time the bus arrives, he has a new business contact.

Same bus. Same delay. Same heat.

Different worldview.

A worldview is the pair of glasses you see life through. It is what you believe about how the world works, who you are in it, what is right and what is possible.

Most of us never chose ours. We inherited it. From our parents. From our church or mosque. From our street, our school, the first boss who shouted at us.

Because we never chose it, we rarely notice we are wearing it.

That is the danger.

Your worldview decides what you see before you even look. If you believe the world is against you, every closed door is proof. If you believe effort pays, a closed door is a puzzle. If you believe money corrupts, you will turn down every chance to make it and call it humility.

It shows up in small places. How you treat the cleaner. Whether you return extra change. How you raise your children. Whether you save or spend. Whether you trust a stranger or assume he is up to something.

Watch any queue.

One person waits his turn. Another edges forward, slips in beside a friend and pretends not to see the line.

The first expects the system to treat him fairly, so he waits. The second learned long ago that if you don't push, you lose.

Neither is foolish. They are wearing different glasses.

So what do you do?

Take your glasses off once in a while. Look at them. Ask: where did this belief come from? Does it still serve me? Is it even true?

You don't have to throw them away. Some of what you inherited is gold. But some of it is a crack in the lens that you stopped noticing years ago.
Clean them. Adjust them. Put them back on and look again.

The world may not change.

But what you see will.

Some people don’t respect YOU. They respect the value they think other people see in you.

So if someone doesn’t respect you today, don’t always f!ght to prove yourself.

Sometimes, just remain who you are.

Your reputation may enter the room before you do.

*Death is such a painful reminder that nothing in this life truly belongs to us forever. One normal day, you're laughing with someone you love, talking about tomorrow, making plans... and the next moment, they're gone. No warning. No extra time.*

_JUST SILENCE_

*That's why we should love deeply, speak kindly, forgive quickly, and never take our people for granted. Because death doesn't ask if we're ready. It simply takes who it takes and leaves us holding memories we wish we could relive one.* 💔😢

*"Maybe nobody is coming to rescue you from the life you're unhappy with, and strangely, that can be empowering. It means the next decision is still yours. You can learn, change direction, start again, and build something different. You may not control everything that happens to you, but you can still influence what happens next."*🚶‍♂️

You may never receive the apology you deserved. You may never hear them admit how deeply they hurt you. Heal anyway. Do not give someone who broke you the power to decide when you become whole.

*Sometimes, you have to disappoint people to stop disappointing yourself. You have to say no. You have to walk away. You have to choose your peace. And some people will call that selfishness. Let them.*

*There are moments when life becomes painfully quiet. No answers. No signs. No clear direction. Perhaps that silence is not abandonment. Perhaps it is preparing you to hear yourself again.*

*Do not let one person’s inability to love you convince you that you are difficult to love. The wrong person can make you question everything. The right people will make you wonder why you ever doubted your worth.*

*Some chapters end without giving you the ending you wanted. No apology. No explanation. No final conversation. And somehow, you still have to turn the page.*

📌 *CAREFULLY AND PATIENTLY READ THROUGH THIS*

- Life doesn’t wait for you to be OK. Get up every day and keep pushing through.

- Ensure you take good care of yourself. If anything happens to you, the world will move on.

- If you don’t work to build your own life, someone will hire you and give you purpose.

- Work in silence, celebrate in private, and continue being silent.

- Don’t regret your past. Just learn from it and improve.

- Nobody cares; work hard to get better each day.

- Free yourself from society's advice; most of them have zero idea of what they’re doing.

- Master your emotions; a calm mind can handle any situation.

- If you find someone better than you, don’t compete with them; instead, work together.

- You’re at peace with yourself when you mind your business.

You need discipline.
