SOCIAL RULES NO ONE WILL TEACH YOU

10 SOCIAL RULES NO ONE WILL TEACH YOU
1. Never interrupt while someone is speaking. Wait for a natural pause. It shows you value their perspective as much as your own.

2. Always return things you borrow. Return them in the same (or better) condition than you received them, and do it before you're asked.

3. Say "Thank You" sincerely. Gratitude is never outdated. It acknowledges the effort someone else made for you.

4. Compliment in public, correct in private. Praising publicly builds confidence; correcting privately preserves dignity.

5. Keep your word, even on small things. Reliability on the "little things" is the only way people will trust you with the big things.

6. Respect silence. You don't always need to fill the air with noise. Sometimes, being present is enough.

7. Do not stare. It is intrusive and creates immediate discomfort. If you're curious, a brief smile and a nod are better.

8. Hold the door for the person behind you. It’s a small gesture that signals awareness of the people around you.

9. Be kind to service workers. How you treat someone who can do nothing for you is the ultimate test of your character.

10. Put your phone away during a conversation. Giving someone your undivided attention is one of the highest forms of respect in the digital age.
