Wisdom for House Owners
Every Landlord must inspect their tenants apartment every three months or 6 Months up to their bedroom and kitchen.

I just watch the video where the commissioner of Police, Oyo State visit the apartment where the k1dnap victims (Ex Minister's Adelabu Sister) where kept until the Police busted the location

This is for Landlords.
The owner of that property may lose that property just because of this incident.

Under the anti k1dnapping law for most state, any property used for, or in connection with the offense of k1dnapping may be forfeited to the State Government.

You will need to prove to the court that you know nothing about it before you can get it back which is very stressful and it takes alot of time, that is if the Government did not demolish the building sef.

You need to know your tenant and inspect their apartment from time to time.

If they are into any illegal stuff, you will notice and if you don't notice.
The routine inspection won't make them comfortable

Dem go vex relocate and comot for your house under the guise that, why Landlord go dey inspect my apartment

Once you see tenant complain about routine inspection.
They are a suspect and there is possibility they are into something bad or illegal.

Make sure the inspection clause is added to your tenancy agreement

Ignorance of the law is no excuse
 
Before you inspect their apartment
Serve them inspection notice and make sure you don't go alone, go along with one more person.

If the tenant rejects your inspection request

Kindly serve the tenant notice to quit provided you include it in your tenancy agreement

That means the tenant breached the tenancy agreement by not accepting your request to inspect their apartment

The law is not emotional

Ignorance of the law is no excuse
