Let me show you the depth of the corruption in Nigeria.

A guest on KaaTruths Podcast exposed one of the shocking strategies Nigerian politicians use to steal public money.

Two days ago I interviewed a Harvard trained lawyer who have practiced in America and Nigeria for decades.

This Lawyer has represented the Nigerian government in multiple cases in America and had access to Presidents and every political office and agency in Nigeria.

In the interview he told me something that left me so cold in my spirit.

He mentioned even the name of a former Attorney General of the federation, Ministers and Presidents.

He told me how those who control the affairs of the government collaborate with outsiders to sue the government on issues they (the government officials) intentional created and then intentionally lose the case in courts so that millions of dollars will be awarded against the government that they are a part of, and then they will share the payout with the outsiders.

He gave examples how such cases are staged. One of the examples was when the news broke out that the Presidential Jets were seized in France over a case involving Ogun State and Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Ltd.

The lawyer pointed out how government officials intentionally made sure that they lost the case in court. The company was awarded $74.5 million, against the Nigerian government. He alleged that even though he didn’t represent Nigeria in that particular case, the case had the same signs that government officials had used to embezzle public money.

He went on to talk about a case of over $150M that he handled for the government and other experiences where he was forced by the same government he represented to lose the case.

I won’t go further with details until the interview is out.

And let me warn, because I don’t know who maybe reading this post and if some people will get scared and want to stop the publication. Whether anything happens to me or not, the video will still be published on KaaTruths YouTube channel and other platforms.

The corruption in this country has become so sophisticated that most Nigerians don’t even see the signs any longer.

The Prince Adeyemi case is just one small fish in a sea of Sharks.

I saw a post where someone asked for the better choice between a 500k job in a bank and a 150k job with the government.

Many people under the post said they would go for the government job. The reasons they listed were job security, flexibility, time for side businesses, and (the most damning of all) the opportunity to make much more than 500k monthly in the course of doing the work.

This perception of government jobs, the mentality people bring into the system, and the laid-back attitude of the civil service toward indiscipline, poor work ethic, and corruption explain why we continue to get the worst service from public agencies in this country.

It is why NIMC (NIN) officials sit idle for three out of five working days, blaming a bad server, while those who have "done normal" waltz inside as hordes of citizens stand outside hopelessly.

You go to local government offices and find staff who abandoned their main desks to listen to koko inu iwe iroyin or sell food and clothing items while visitors wait for attention.

You arrive at some offices by 10:30 AM only to hear that the officer in charge has not resumed. They say it with the calmness and confidence of people simply doing their normal routine.

By 1PM on Fridays, these people will tell you they have closed for the day, because Jumaat prayer is their official closing hour.

If you dare complain, the staff gang up to frustrate the living daylights out of you.

Yet people who come online to complain about this bad treatment will get a choice between a well-paying corporate job and a government role with lower pay, and they choose the government role just to join the rot.

This is how the cycle of corruption goes round and round, and why I am convinced that we are NGMI here.

If you think the law works for the rich and powerful as it works for ordinary you and me, you are a dry joker.

This is why politicians sacrifice everything to remain connected to power. It offers them protection and stupendous wealth.

And in this side of the globe, that’s all you need to get away with anything.

Do you know how many small boys that are languishing in prison now just because their girlfriends left their houses and never made it back home?

Do you know how many young poor men who are in prison currently because a lady accused them of r4pe without proof?

Do you know how many young people who are in prison today merely because they made social media posts that didn’t go well with some powerful people?

But here, a young beautiful lady died naked, with blood in her mouth, in the house of a powerful politician who have been consistently accused of mu3der by many people, yet, the police still haven’t found their handcuffs after many days.

If it’s ordinary Nigerian now, he would have been arrested, tortured, beaten black and blue and thrown into prison without trial.

I hate a partial justice system man. It irritates me.

Gbaja is still working free too while EFCC is busy hunting young people they see inside Benz.

A country can never work with corrupt, incompetent, partial, and weak justice system. We just like telling ourselves lies.
