Plan for your kids o, no be cap.

If they must school here, send them to private Uni .

My top pick is covenant or babcock.

As a young couple, Start planning for it today.

Buy land.

Do insurance.

Start a separate business

Do anything for this purpose.

Better school is out of the ways to give your kids leverage.

There are no shortcuts in life but there are short curves and a good university is one of the route.

Money is a big leverage. I watch an interview of the piggvest co founder on how he and he guys were always at home building and failing. At least they work on closet to 10 project before they could succeed at piggyvest. A child that does not have someone with the financial capacity can not go that route. Everyone at home are looking up to you and you want to sit somewhere coding and trying things out when you should be sending money home and raising your younger ones. Private universities are great but I think the major thing is that have money and give your kids financial leverage. This way they build their passion rather than just trying to survive.

I have said several times, try as much as possible to avoid College of Education (COE), POLYTECHNIC and NOUN.

In Nigeria the minimum tertiary school parent should plan for their Children is Private University

The good thing is that most of us are still young and can plan towards it

I have also talked about Investing ahead for your children's education several times.

But there is something that most people reacting to Machalla's tweet missed

The battle that Rich kids and Poor Kids or Kids from average homes face outside of school is quite different

A poor kid has parents without leverage; in fact after uni, his parents expect him to start sending money home

During my NYSC, one of the youth corpers in my PPA used to send part of his 19800 home

At first I didn't understand, it was later I understood that poverty pass poverty

Now, a Rich kid can afford to take certain risks because there is leverage

Beating hunger is not his number 1 priority

In fact, he can go back home and build from there on the pedestal of his rich parents

However, even if you are not rich, sending your children to such schools gives them the opportunity to connect with Rich kids

Such connections can be leverage for your kids in the future

So unlike many people think, this is not just a case of quality education of these private universities but leverage and exposure to opportunities/information.
